About Billie
Wilma L. “Billie” Baran, former resident of Atwater and Lodi California and Burlington, Washington, passed away October 15, 2009. Billie was born in Pender, Nebraska. She was a school teacher until her marriage to Richard Baran, in 1957. Richard was stationed at Lincoln Air Force Base, Nebraska. The two of them explored various locations together, including Georgia, Massachusetts, California, and Guam. Daughter Regina was born at Lincoln Air Force Base, and son Richard, Jr. was born at Warner Robbins Air Force Base, Georgia. Over the years, she provided a home to her mother-in-law, Pansy Baran, until her death in 1994. Billie worked as a Head Start Coordinator, Substitute Teacher, and a Preschool

Director while living in Atwater, California. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church (Atwater, California).
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Beatrice Moore, and siblings Barbara Stoner, Virginia Johnston, and Leroy Moore. She is survived by her husband Richard, daughter Regina (Jeffrey) of California, and son Richard, Jr.; grandsons Caleb, Richard III, and Ethan; granddaughters Amy and Megan; great grandson Kameoron, great granddaughter Emily Louise.
As a gift from their family, Billie and Richard were able to celebrate their 50th anniversary on an Alaska cruise, in 2004. She was looking forward to taking another cruise. Billie was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma (cancer) while

About Billie
living in Lodi, but persevered. She died of Pneumonia in Burlington, Washington.
A private funeral was held at the Tahoma National Cemetery, in Kent, Washington, on October 22. The family wishes to thank all who cared for Billie at the Cancer clinics in Lodi and Burlington. The family suggests contributions in Billie’s name to the American Cancer Society.
