This is a tribute to James Williamson. Australian mountain biker James Williamson passed away while competing in South Africa.
A former world solo 24-hour champion and respected cycling journalist, 26-year-old Williamson from Canberra passed away in Ceres in the Western Cape province while taking part in the 722km Absa Cape Epic stage race.
Cape Epic race media director Sonja Guldner-Hamel said: "James was a very enthusiastic mountain bike journalist who had expressed interest to ride the race over the last few years.
"He'll be deeply missed in the mountain biking media fraternity."
This is a memorial dedicated to James Williamson. May he rest in peace.
