About Shaun
This is an online obituary in memory of Shaun Bush. Fusilier Shaun Bush died as a result of injuries he received when he was caught in an explosion while on foot patrol in Afghanistan. The 24-year-old soldier, from 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, died at the Royal College of Defence Medicine in Selly Oak in Birmingham. He had been attempting to rescue his colleague Sergeant Simon Valentine - who died in the blast - when a second bomb went off. This memorial is in honour of Shaun Bush, his life and the sacrifice he made.
