This is an online obituary in memory of Richard Brandon. Lance Corporal Richard James Brandon, of the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, was killed in the south of Gereshk, Helmand province, when the vehicle he was travelling in hit a bomb planted in the road. The 24-year-old from Kidderminster was the driver of a Samson repair and recovery vehicle in the A Squadron Fitter Section of the Light Dragoons. Lance Corporal Richard James Brandon. His fiancee, Emma-Jayne, said: "Richie was a wonderful fiance and father and stepfather to Martyn, Liam and our daughter Kaitlin. We couldn't have asked for more.
