About Ernest
My dad was the most awesome person in the world to me! I feel I was definitely daddy's girl, as I admired my dad so-o very much. I was always in observance of my dad as a young child. My mother was in the hospital when I was around seven years old and my father took care of me and my four siblings. I remember how he would wake me up to curl my hair, to be sure that it was well groomed for school. Out of necessity, Dad learned how to make tortillas, as it was a staple to everyday meals. His strength, his tenacity, his focus on dealing with problems is what I took on as my own.
Dad was the person who signed report cards, who looked at our grades and kept up with how we were doing in school. My dad was a very

handsome, charismatic person who was happy almost all the time and had a genuine smile on his face. People were drawn to him and he had a lot of friends and acquaintances.
Spirituality was the foreground of my dad's life. Often times I would arrive home from work to witness my dad reading his bible. He would attempt to draw me in by reading a scripture verse and then asking for my interpretation. As practicing Catholics in my early years, Dad was the encourager and the person who went with us to mass on Sundays. He led his family by example. My dad was a very hard-working person and he was efficient at so many different things. Electrical, carpentry, plumbing, Dad self-taught himself in these things. His

defining niche was cuisine. He had title of CHEF although he never attended school for this. My dad had a talent for cooking prime rib and was known as the PRIME RIB KING because he knew the secret and specialty in preparing this type of meat. Dad could also bake wonderful hot-cross buns, rolls with icing and a variety of cookies.
My dad was the most unselfish person I ever knew. He shared himself with others and lent a hand to those in need. Yet, my dad stayed true to himself. I will always miss my dad, I miss him now...my love for him is eternally undying and steadfast. I console myself with the assurance that my Dad, Ernest Guerrero, is in the sanctity of paradise with Jesus. It is my faith and my hope

A mass was said for you at Our Lady of Guadalupe, on your birthday! It consoled my soul that others were brought to remembrance of your special day of birth. I shall continue to have one said for you on appointed holidays including your birthday. Another mass will be said for you on Christmas Day, Dad. I love you so very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dearest Dad,
It was your birthday on November 7th, it would have been your 82nd one. Dad, all the days of my life whilst you were still living in this world I dreaded your demise. I always went into a panic and could not bear to think that someday you would be gone and then the years went by and the day I dreaded with all of my heart arrived. Death stood at the door and took the man that I loved with the deepest

Dearest Dad,
Eddie Torrez passed away on 5th of October, four months to the day of your leaving us. It was a shock to learn that he was ill and died so suddenly. I feel like the Guerrero family is slipping away. Also Leonard Medina, Helen's past boyfriend from her youth, died on the 25th of September. Poor guy, he had such a horrific life. But now he is in a different existence never to feel pain, sadness or isolation

Dad, I still miss you so-o very much and I am dreading the holidays this year. Your birthday will be here soon, November 7th and I plan to plant a little succulent garden in your memory. I love you just as much now as when you were still here with us. I love you, Dad!!!!!!!!

Good morning Dad. I am doing a little better each day, but still miss you so very much. I spoke to Mom, she is doing fine. I do not say much about you to her as she gets really upset, so I am being compassionate by not remembering you to her. I, on the other hand, will ALWAYS want to say your name, talk about you, say how much I love you, miss you and continue to cry. You meant the world to me my precious, wonderful FATHER!

I thought about you a great deal today. I spoke to mom yesterday. She seems to be maintaining, although she misses you very much. I am relieved, because of her dementia, that the fullness of re-collection of your passing away is not totally there. Otherwise she would be in despair and depression over losing you. Jon is taking good care of her and so are the others. I miss you so much, Dad, my loving
