About John
John was the beloved son of John C. and Jean C. Johnson of West Hartford. He was a 1968 graduate of William H. Hall High School and a 1972 graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He earned a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Hartford. He worked as a behavior analyst and co-director at the Mansfield Day Treatment Center and as a teacher and behavior analyst at the Oak Hill School in Hartford. Most recently he was director of online services at McGraw-Hill Publishing Companies in Farmington and Columbus, Ohio. His family and friends were very important to him.
His sister, Beth Johnson Briggs and her husband, David, recently returned to Connecticut and enjoyed spending more time

with John. He had nephew, David Briggs of Columbia, Missouri; his aunt, Marjorie C. Chatterton of West Hartford; his uncle, Richard Loose of West Hartford; his cousin, Robert Loose and his wife, Lynda, and their son, Robert, of West Hartford; his cousin, Karen Moynihan and her daughter, Katie, of Farmington; his cousin, Rich Loose and his wife, Jonna, and daughter, Tianna of Santa Cruz, California; and many longtime friends.
His passing leaves us with memories of a kind, gentle, generous, loving man.
Funeral arrangements were private.
