About Belle
Belle Perlman was born Perla Elias in Rochester, NY only six years after her parents immigrated Constantinople, Turkey. She was the only daughter of the six children born to Rabbi Meier and Joya (or Jenny) Elias.
She is a descendant of the Cassorla family, which is documented here: http://www.cassorla.net/El_Cass.html
After about five years, they moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she led the fairly sheltered life of the Rabbi's only daughter.
She got married at age 26 to Rubin Perlman, in 1941, shortly before he was drafted into World War II.
Belle was an adventurous, energetic and positive woman who loved to have a good laugh, and enjoyed nearly 97 years of life. She was a wonderful mother,wife,

grandmother and great-grandmother and leaves behind three children, Fran, Mark and Sandy; three grand children, Mark, Jen and Jessica and three great-grandchildren, Jake, Jack and Sadie.
