Gary Ashton Jr.
(1969 – 2018)

In memory of

Gary Ashton Jr.

(1969 – 2018)
About Gary
Gary was my nephew. I remember clearly the day he was born and my brother walking into the waiting room at the hospital beaming with pride about his new son. He was so proud. I'll always remember the look on his face. When I finally saw him it was love at first sight. He was a beautiful sweet little boy who grew into a wonderful sweet man. He was the rock of the family. He was the one everyone turned to for help or advice and he was always there for everyone. What the family will do without him I don't know.
Gary was strong, loving, thoughtful, and hard working. I remember how determined he was, even as a little boy. When he set his mind to do something he did it. I remember when he first learned to walk and

About Gary
I walked him up to the store. It was a long way for a little guy but he refused to be picked up and made it to the store. So proud of himself that he made it with no help from Aunt Janet. He was very independent even then. I remember taking him on the bus with me when he was little and people would come up to me and tell me what a beautiful little girl I had. He would look at them and say" I'm a boy dummy"! They would laugh but he was still indignant. He was beautiful though and grew into a handsome man. He had beautiful warm brown eyes, a smile that would light up a room, and a personality that everyone loved. Everyone liked him.
Gary was a very successful businessman. He was a very active member of his church.

About Gary
He went all over the world on missionary trips to help people who were suffering. He tried to make their lives better. He was a wonderful man.
I used to tell Gary that I would like to do this or that and he used to say to me "What are you waiting for? Do it now"! That's what he did. He lived a very full life for the short time he was here. Maybe he had a premonition that he wouldn't be here long. I'm so glad that he did the things he wanted to do.
Gary passed away very unexpectedly and tragically on April 9,2018. He was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. We will all remember him as the heart of the family and the light of our lives. The light in all our lives may have dimmed the

day he passed but the light in Heaven got a whole lot brighter!
Rest in peace my little Gary. I will always remember that beautiful blond haired, big brown eyed little boy. You were the son I always wanted and never had.
Love,
Aunt Janet or as you called me when you were little, Jaja.
